at last..

someone understands. i had the awesome opportunity to run a 5k race this morning for the brain injury association of Utah. for those of you who don't know.. my niece, parker, had an accident when she was 16 months old. she had a dresser and t.v. fall on her. she had to be life flighted and suffered from trauma to her head and brain. she was in a coma for a few weeks and in primary children's hospital for about a month. she had to re-learn how to do everything. it was such a scary time, but thanks to all of the prayers that were said.. she has recovered completely and perfectly. she is a normal 4 year old. we ran this race because we know we were one of the lucky ones. not everyone is as lucky and they have to deal with complications the rest of their lives. we count our many blessings. i do believe in miracles, parker is my proof.
to read more about what my family learned you can look at my mom's post on her blog..
