and when the night is cloudy..

there is still a light
that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow
let it be.
today my family remembered
a day that we'd all like to forget.
our lives were flipped upside down
in the blink of an eye.
long story short..
5 years ago today
when this cute girl was just 16 months old
she pulled a dresser and t.v. on top of her.
the t.v. hit her head leaving her with
a skull fracture and a traumatic brain injury.
she was flown to primary children's medical center
where she was treated.
she has since fully recovered
and shows no sign of a brain injury at all.
our tragedy taught my family very important lessons on
faith, hope, service, love, etc.
we've been blessed to witness a miracle.
now, parker is a 6 year old in kindergarten.
she's brilliant and super chatty.
she couldn't be more perfect.
to this day my family and i are eternally grateful for
the syracuse police and firemen, air-med,
primary children's ER, ICU, and neuro units,
and all the doctors and nurses!
i sure love this little girl.
read more about her story
and see pictures of her in the hospital
and
let it be : the beatles
